Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.
Ex two time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
